About Working at Praxis

At Praxis, our journey is powered by those who dare to be changemakers, who are driven by a passion for liberation, and who understand the strength of collaboration. If these words resonate with you, then you're not just a candidate – you're a potential catalyst for the change we envision.

  • Our Culture and Organizational Environment:
Joining Praxis means becoming part of a supportive community. Our organizational culture is not a static entity – it's a living, breathing expression of who we are/each of us. We actively shape it together, fostering leadership and collaboration at every level. Praxis is a completely virtual, 36-hour workweek organization, and has been since before the COVID-19 pandemic. We're committed to building a thriving culture that sets the standard for remote work. To succeed in this virtual landscape, requires a dedicated workspace, a commitment to clear and frequent communication, and comfort with technology to enhance collaboration and connection.
  • Who We’re Looking For:
We seek kindred spirits—organizers, facilitators, creatives, and advocates—who resonate with our mission and values. Praxis is a place where unique strengths are not just welcomed; they're celebrated. If you're a changemaker, a visionary seeking justice, and someone who believes in the power of collective action, you're in the right place. Our commitment to justice extends beyond our mission. We know it’s important that our staff and board have deep connections and experience with the diversity of people, communities, and organizations our work supports. We actively seek applications from those with diverse backgrounds, including survivors, folks with disabilities, immigrants, BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and deaf folks. Your unique experiences enrich our work, creating a tapestry of perspectives that drive true change
  • Team & Organizational Well-being:
A cornerstone of our approach to our work and this organization is the idea of wholeness. We recognize to do this work we must nurture ourselves individually and collectively. We are most able to reinforce our resilience, fully engage, and make meaningful contributions when we can bring our complete selves to our work. So we are committed to prioritizing our well-being. Praxis offers: Fully paid employee health and dental coverage, plus coverage for family and dependents. 403b contribution to add to your financial security. Five weeks of vacation. Four weeks of health leave and access to our organizational health leave bank. A generous holiday schedule and a winter administrative break to recharge at the end of each year.
