COMMUNITY
ACTIVATION
Change doesn’t happen in isolation; it thrives in connected communities.
WHY COMMUNITY ACTIVATION?
Collaboration among changemakers, movements, and communities is key to driving change. We seek to build cross-movement networks committed to challenging conventional responses and exploring community-focused approaches to gender-based violence. Together, we can challenge the status quo and mobilize towards action.
HOW WE DO IT

Real conversations about burnout, balance, and resilience in rural advocacy. These sessions provide a space for rural advocates to explore the specific ways gender-based violence advocacy can diminish our well-being and the impact that has on our movement. Together we discuss how rural gender-based violence organizations can nurture wholeness and change the landscape of advocacy for rural communities.
Through dialogue with experts, Rural Connect sessions create a space for rural workers to engage with subject matter experts on issues affecting rural survivors and their communities. These sessions provide a platform where rural workers not only hear from subject matter experts, but actively discuss and exchange insights and strategies with their peers.
Let’s join forces- on the streets, in the boardroom, and in our work places. It’s not just about building connections; it's about taking action. Join us in building a network committed to upending traditional responses and exploring community-focused approaches to address oppressive power systems.
